Get started with Ventra

Create a new account without a Ventra Card  to use for the Ventra app and with Metra, or get started ordering or registering a Ventra Card you already have.

• I want to create a new account and order a new Ventra Card.
  Use this option if you want to have a Ventra Card sent to you by mail and don't have an online account to log into. You'll need to load some transit value and/or a pass to begin.
  
   
• I want to create a new account and register a Ventra Card I already have.
  Use this option if you already have a Ventra Card (from a vending machine, retailer, etc.) that hasn't been registered yet and want to create an online account to manage your fare on the web or in the Ventra app.
  
   
• I want to create a new account without a Ventra Card.
  Use this option if you want just an online account without a Ventra Card. (Good if you just want to use the app to ride Metra and never use CTA or Pace.)
  
   
• I already have an account and want to register a Ventra Card I already have.

• I can't remember my account login information.
  Look up your username or reset your password.
   

Want a Ventra Card today?

You can purchase a new Ventra Card, in person, at any Ventra vending machine (just start with value or a pass) in 'L' stations and select locations around town.

You can also purchase one from nearly 1,300 retailers around town or at the Ventra Customer Service Center (located at 567 W. Lake St., Chicago, IL 60661).
